“Don’t look to the sky for fireworks when you can watch them light up in the eyes of all the people passing by.” — Tyler Kent

“When my father didn’t have my hand, he had my back.” – Linda Poindexter
To all the dads, granddads, stepdads, and dad-like figures who have our backs, lift us up, raise our spirits, and help us soar, we hope this weekend is every bit as special as you. Happy Father’s Day from all of us at The Villas of Oak Park.

Happy Presidents’ Day from The Villas of Oak Park.
First established in 1885 in recognition of George Washington, what we now know as Presidents’ Day was part of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act in 1971 – designed to create more Monday holidays (and 3-day weekends) for workers.
Today the holiday is an opportunity to celebrate all U.S. presidents.
Our Assistant Residence Director, Jaime, recently received a thank you note from one of our community members, which we always love!
“I wanted to send a compliment for Dean because for anything that needs repair, he does it right away (even though I always say ‘no rush’ in my notes to him). Additionally, I recently had Sean assist me with a light bulb change and he has a friendly personality and accomplishes whatever needs repair.
Both Dean and Shawn were here this morning to replace the light fixture over my kitchen sink. Not only is it terrific having light again over the sink, it was also enjoyable being able to chat with both of them.
You are also so caring and have a loving personality, Jaime, and I always enjoy talking with you.” – Carol G.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Carol. We take pride in going above and beyond for those who call our community home, and it’s always amazing to hear when it shows.
